If you think having it all is just a dream, well think again. Women from many backgrounds and professions received a jolt of inspiration and a dose of good advice at the Having It All Seminar last year at the Town & Country Hotel and Resort. Hosted by Progressive Funding, Inc., the event featured three seminars designed to promote health, wealth and self.

Sam Puma, CPA and tax attorney with the Law Office of J. Douglass Jennings presented Protecting Your Wealth and Assets, offering attendees information on a variety of wealth management strategies from wills and living trusts to business formation and tax planning.

Attendees also learned how to affordably finance a second home or investment property when Kim T. Folsom, Founder of Progressive Funding, Inc. shared strategies to empower women to utilize real estate investing as a means of building wealth.

During the luncheon, attendees received the recipe for slowing the aging process through balanced nutrition and supplements. Nutritional Consultant Valerie Hall shared important tips on how to eat right to maximize health and prevent or control health conditions such as diabetes, overweight and joint pain.

The highlight of the day was the keynote presentation by author and journalist, Jill Nelson, who encouraged women to live life to the fullest. “Yes, you can have it all—just not at one time,” she told the audience. Nelson noted the many hats women wear and how, unfortunately, they place themselves last on the list of priorities. Her advice was to place self first so that the other people and responsibilities can get the best, not the worst of what women have to offer.

“I am very pleased with the outcome of the event, and the quality of information presented to the audience,” said Kim Folsom, organizer of the event. Folsom added that she looks forward to hosting the event next year and helping to empower and enrich the lives of even more success-minded women.
